United Underground was started by NYC Dj/Producer Jason Jollins in the late 1990's.
While Jason attended college at the University of Rutgers in New Brunswick New Jersey, the underground edm scene was very political with no outlet for University and local dj's to display there talent as well as there passion within there unique sound for music.
As a way to give the these dj's a place to perform, Jason formed United Underground and started putting on weekly events where he would invite all of the local dj's to play throughout various parties.
The success of the parties quickly grew throughout the campus while at the same time exposed new music to University students who had never heard or been introduced to house music.
After Rutgers, Jason moved to Manhattan and with this he took the United Underground concept with him throwing parties at venues such as Open Air, Filter 14, Sullivan Room, West 8th, as well as many others.
United Underground still lives and thrives today throwing one-off events in and around New York City; sharing the same values for which United Underground was originally formed.
